My hot water heater in my LQ trailer started spewing water from a spicket/port to the left of the pop off valve. I had a person suggest that it might be the thermostat, since you can get away with taking one shower and it is fine, but go to take another one, and it starts spewing out water... Any suggestions???

I was hoping for the hotwater tank model informtion. Typically found on the tank behind the exterior access door on the trailer.
Can you use a standard cooking thermometer and determine HW temp?
I found this on the web:
If the valve is located near the top of the tank (most are) and is leaking water you have lost the head of air that should be present. To replace the air cool the heater, relieve preasure at a faucet, remove the drain plug to drain the water, and then replace the drain plug and refill the tank. As the water fills the heater the air will be compressed in the top of the tank.
I also found that you may want to check the winter bypass valves to ensure they are in the right positions.

I'm sorry- I don't have the model information on the hot water heater- this valve is towards the bottom, just to the left of the pop-off valve... I was wondering if it might be the drain plug is loose- thanks for the info- if anybody comes up with anything else, please let me know. The water heater heats the water fine, and doesn't seem to have any problems through the first shower.

The temp and pressure relief valve is mounted on the top side of the tank. This is sometimes refered to as being a pop off valve. Some tanks have a seperate drain valve, some only use the anode rod as a drain port. Atwood and Surburban are two of the most popular water heater brands being used in many RVs. They each have web sites and parts info.

The pressure relief valve that has a little metal lifty thing on it is not leaking? And this is located on the bottom of your tank?
You seem to be mentioning another valve? What other valve besides the drain plug for the anode rod as Gard mentions is on your tank? Or are you referring to a plug like item?
Can you take a picture?
Is the leak coming out of a valve or from around the threads?
