Location: Wis.
We are adding a fridge to our trailer and have been looking at living quarters that are DIY and wondering about the venting for the fridges. Do you need to have two vents on them, and if so, were do you find the smaller vent covers. We are taking this out of our truck camper and it has a large cover on the side and also has a roof vent. Are both necessary?

You can probably look up the venting requirements for the fridge that you have online. It will tell you that you need a lower vent w/ X square inches of opening and same on the top vent. It will also tell you if you can do two small side vents or if the top vent is required through the roof.

Most refrigerator manufacturers have vents and covers that are matched to the units that are being installed. The smaller 3 CF refrigerators have a floor vent and a sidewall vent behind its top surface. The larger 6 CF, and two piece refrigerators have a floor vent and a roof vent.
