does anyone have pictures of how to make a couch or bench in their trailer. How deep and do you angle the backrest, and how much? Just looking for a winter project. Thank you

The easiest way to find the most comfortable proportions for a bench, is to use measurements derived from a chair you most like. Most of the heights will be aprox ~18" from the floor to the top of the cushion. The depth of the seat will be best determined by your height and build. The height and degree of angle for the backrest, can be again determined by copying a comfortable chair.
This is a more accurate way to determine the measurements, than using a published plan. The depth of the seat is critical, and should accurately be equal to the distance from behind your knee, to the vertical plane of your butt. If it's too long, you will slouch and have no lower back support. If it's too short, the back of your thighs won't be adequately supported.
Instead of being level, many couches have a rearward slant, as apposed to benches which are usually level. The rearward cushion of a couch is usually lower than the front edge, so you sit back more into a couch. This can be duplicated if you want, into a bench design, by changing the profile of the two plywood side pieces.
The construction can be easily made of a plywood box. The sides of the base can be fabricated of 1/2" plywood with inside corner blocks. Rip 2x4's in half for the reinforcing blocks. Glue and screw all the joints. The seat can be 3/4" plywood, and if it's hinged, the space underneath will be available for storage. The plywood can be painted, or covered with many materials.
Any upholstery shop can make you two cushions, one each for the seat and backrest. If you're handy, you can purchase the foam and cover it yourself. They can be held into place with Velcro buttons.
