Dodge, Chrysler just announced a recall for all their Ram trucks built in 2009 and 2010 for a clip failure on the brake pedal rod.

http://trucks.about.com/b/2010/01/19/ram-trucks-included-in-chrysler-brake-recall.htm

This could be a serious problem. If you have a Dodge Ram, call your dealer right away.

Before anyone gets too bent out of shape, if I remember right this is for the light duty trucks (the 1/2 ton new body style) as well as some JEEP products!

That would be a great idea, that way we will know it will not be on the road and able to hurt someone or something. It will still be in the shop having the engine worked on......

Yes, 98% of Fords are still on the road today....the other 2% made it home. LOL Seriously, to each their own. I had a Ford truck that I loved *except* that it developed a problem that made it unable to pull my trailer and no dealer could find the problem to fix it. I now have a 2006 Dodge and so far so good!

I think I would rather have a brake problem than have a cruise control fire problem like Ford had a few years back.  It would be faster to find away to stop than find away to put a fire out going down the road.

Do you personally tell each of your Ford customers about your dislike for these vehicles when you're selling them?

"Before anyone gets too bent out of shape"  Loosing brakes is not a problem? Having a brake linkage failure will definately get you and your vehicle bent out of shape.

No one said that I disliked Ford's..... In my opinion I would rather have a brake problem than a fire problem.................

I do sell way more Fords than Chevy and Dodge put together, but seeing is how 90% of them are work type trucks, they DO NOT have cruise control.  So there is no need to worry about the fire problem related to them......

I get frustrated when my truck won't start. But no where near as upset as I get when it won't stop.... :)
