Wow!! Seems like just yesterday we were all wishing winter was over so that we could hit the trails again, now here we are below zero and snowing again. Summer just wasn't long enough for me! We had a beautiful Indian summer here this fall, and I got the chance to ride with a friend on her ranch. My brother came from Alaska to stay with the folks so that I could get away. What a treat!!! I got saddle sore for the first time in 40 years. It was well worth it, though. I had almost forgotten how beautiful the yellow cottonwood leaves are against a clear blue sky and how wonderful the whole experience of riding can be. Even though riding the trails is a rare treat for me these days, I do enjoy hearing about everyone else's good times. I am already counting the days 'till spring! Marla

There will be blizzard conditions just 60 miles to the North of me in St. Joe, MO and surrounding Northen MO and all of Iowa. I hate winter and it has just started.

We are getting it now.....I don't like it but considering last winter which started early and seemed forever, it's not so bad. It is so sloppy right now with the rain you get pulled all over the road. Tonight and tomorrow the rest of it which is cold, blowing, and snow is coming.
