I'm on my 2nd Exiss. My first one was a 96 3h sl 4ft Dr. I now have a 03 Event 3h sl with 8ft lq. I have never had any issues with either trailer. I would buy another one...

To answer this thread and your PM, I like and own an Exiss trailer. It is not the best as far as expensive options, but the Event construction is notably excellent, and tens of thousands of owners are happy with their purchases.
The roof is made of a one piece .040" sheet of aluminum. It is absolutely water proof and pristine. It goes down hill from there. Once installed, say in a dressing room model, it may or may not have an A/C installed. If it does, you now have a 14" square hole cut into the roof. If you have a LQ, you will end up with not only that hole, but many more.
Every hole is a potential source of leakage. The seams are caulked with a sealant. The skill by which it is applied and how durable a product it is, will determine if the roof will leak. This is true of every single trailer, with a similar type of construction, regardless of brand.
The strength of an Exiss construction was recently proven, with graphic photos of a vehicle accident, in which the truck was turtled and the trailer laid on its side. Both horses were only slightly injured and survived. The trailer's frame structure remained secure and intact, the aluminum did not shred, every welded joint did not fail, nor did the roof explode. The trailer saved the lives of the horses.

Thank you so much for your input. I really like this Exiss that I am looking at, it has all the options I am looking for and it's within my budget (bonus!!). Going from a bumper pull to a gooseneck will be a change, but I have heard they pull better. Ya'll wish me luck on this trailer thing...

Good Luck. We own two Exiss Event trailers; one LQ and an Event BP stock. Both pull well and have held up with the constant use with put them thru. I don't know much about the Sport models; but the Events seem to be very well made.

I own a Exiss event and couldn't be happier. Its well built and has given me many miles of good service. Like all trailers, you can have issues with something. I bought mine used and really, eveything works as it should. My two closest pals also bought Exiss and are pleased with them. Are they the most expensive trailers on the road- nope but they are still a good trailer.

it really depends on how you use them, or maybe how many miles you haul. I don't know of any that don't have a reasonable good structure . Trailers fail when drop down windows fall off, face guards bend up and fall off, manger doors have no internal structure and sag, dressing room door that you can,t close. If you don,t haul much I would buy what ever you can find the cheapest that your horses will fit in, but if you are going down the road!!!!!

We have a 2001 Event that we have hauled 1000's of miles and are very happy with it still....some of this is on dirt or gravel mountain roads, through creeks and low water bridges, both in the Ozarks and in the western states elk hunting, we do good maintainance......... and remember the appliances for all RV's are made by individual appliance companies anyway...we have had a circuit board replaced in the furnace, and replaced the anode in the hot water heater, as expected.....bought some new batteries... factory stood behind an issue with the step into the LQ door...not bad for a nearly 10 year old trailer...and appliances! We love ours....I have also used it hauling the 4 wheeler and taken it to deer camp!
