I have two of the 2000 watt Honda generators and the Parallel power kit. That gives me enough power to run the AC and microwave. Recently, Honda came out with a 2000 watt generator called the Companion. This permits you to connect the two units together using only plug in wires. Think it is about $100.00 more. Also have an extended run fuel tank this provides an additional 5 gallons of gas.  Can check these out at www.wisesales.com  They also sell other makes as well so that you can compare

The 2000 watt is light and I find one is real handy to work around the farm. Just throw it in the utility wagon and you can have 110volts where you need it .

I also use the honda 3000. It been a good generator. At first I would set it back near the trailer wheels. Now that I usually travel alone, so I just leave it on the truck. I unhook and then I move the truck to the  side of the trailer about 10 feet and run it I have never had my co2 sensor go off either. I do wish now that I had gotten the 2000 x2. Only for the weight issue between the two.

Somehow I over looked this post.

Mine is a CUMMINS/ONAN P4300ie.  Which is compairable to the Honda 3000 but has a larger output.  Mine is very quite and will run the a/c all night long without having to re-fill the gas.

This has been really great information especially concerning the exhaust issues. I appreciate everyone's input.

This is only common sence but chain these things up if they're not built in a compartment. At some of the events my wife and I have attended this year they have been dissapearing.

Has the unit been prepped?  Is shipping costs on you, or are they paid for?  Is it brand new with warranty card included?  They normally sell for adv. price of $999 from a dealer; and are usually prepped, warranty info. filled out and sent in, and shipping included.  Depends on how important these things are to you.

jim bob is correct about the cost/ pricing. Not 100% sure but think that Honda pretty much sets the price that dealers can sell these units for. Hate to say this but could be a scam or, not really a new unit.

I bought mine on-line from the Honda E-Store.Then picked it up at the closest Honda dealer. I paid no shipping on it just state tax.....Upi can also see the specs for each generator. I  got mine about 4yrs ago...

Thanks - it's on craiglist. Does not say whether they (there are three available) have been prepped, and they're local so I'd pick up. Don't know about warranty card - I will call tomorrow and ask these questions. Thanks for the tips.
