I have the 12k spring loaded jack on my gooseneck that i am having problems with, I started to get hard to crank. NOw i can't crank it all. I greased the gears this year. The gears look ok. Looking for a resolution to fix it before I have to buy a new one. I bought the trailer used and its a 93' soft touch gooseneck.

The gears are only one part. There is a screw (that the gears turn) and nut inside the leg. You'll have to extend the jack till you see a hole through the leg to the screw. Look at the side of the stationary part of the leg. There is a hole that is blocked by the moving part of the leg. Extend the leg till the holes align. Then oil the screw.
