For those of you that had your LQ trailers made for you instead of getting one off the lot, how long did it take for them to be ready for you to pick up?

What kind of a deposit did you have to put down?

depends on brand and depends on dealer for deposit.  Some require as little as $1k.

If you want Outlaw, you going to wait 12 weeks.  Trailers like 4star, Elite, Platinum wait is anywhere from 5 to 12 weeks as well.

Nice hah?

I wouldn't ever buy another trailer that didn't already have the living quarters in it. It's just a pain in the you know what.

What I meant was, buying a new trailer and having  the LQ's put in it at the factory, not buying a trailer first, then having the LQ's put in.

I was told Lakota has an 8 week wait and I just wondered if that was the average amount of time.

That's not bad on an ordered trailer. Mine was just over 5 months from time of order till it was ready for me to pick up.

I wouldn't want to do that because when I buy the trailer I want to be able to use it right away. I don't want to wait for a living quarters to get put in, but that just me.

We can get a Sundowner from 12-14 weeks; which they now build the whole trailer including the interior, right at the plant in Coleman, Oklahoma.

As far as out Bison Models go; we can usually get one of those in about 6 weeks.

Our other brands usually take longer due to having to send them to a conversion company to have the interiors put in.

I also ordered my Lakota last year and it took a little over 10 weeks but there was a Thanksgiving, Chritmas and New Year's break in between.  What size LQ did you buy?

Most non factory conversion companies are real slow right now. My friends  (won't mention name) could get you in and out in a few weeks....These can are top of the line and can be as simple or elabrate as you want.

We go the "see it before we buy it approach"--usually less $ (more willing to deal), and interest on the money during the process.

I gave up on ordering after the 2nd trailer came in not as I had specifically designed. Plus, I then found out that you miss the great buys on the already finished trailers. I would rather settle than be disappointed with a big letdown. So, I prefer to touch, feel, spend time in the finished LQ's before I commit!
