I'm entertaining purchasing a Shadow Horse Trailer with LQ. Would welcome opinions and experiences with reguard to quality, problems and general ownership.  What other trailers would compare to Shadow? Thanks inadvance for your input.

We own a 4H Shadow Living Quarter Bunkhouse Trailer. The quality is superior to most other trailers around. All the amenities and they paid great attention to detail! We love it, we are a horse show family and take out often .... so it gets is use and living up to its name! We have the larger rear tack with removable saddle racks and LOVE IT! No more hauling all that wire stuff for our tack stall! Cant say enough great things about it! Feel free to shoot me an email and we can chat about what you looking at. oh and we got ours from the Ocala lot they are great to work with.

Oh and they included a road side assistance program for us at no charge! 11 11

What you looking for out of your trailer.  Size, what features in your lq how much are you prepaired to spend is another very important question.  I have never used a shadow or seen one to tell you the truth (not saying anything bad about one just never seen one).  From what I've seen on the internet of the Shadow's they look like a very nice trailer and a very exspensive one.  I've pulled bloomers, feather, platinum, elites, 4stars, and C &C's and if I was going to buy one these are brands I would look at just because what I've used and throughly liked everything about them.

I don't have a LQ Shadow but do own one. They are a great user friendly trailer and I live in Fl where they are made. I have never talked to a person who owned one who was unhappy with their trailer and I have talked to a few. They have some really great innovations that they add to their trailers. Good luck trailer shopping!

I have a 2008 3 horse LQ by Shadow.. After having looked at all of the trailer brands available in the Ocala area (which in Florida is the horse capital) I decided the Shadow was by far the best bang for the buck when it came to material used and workmanship. I was also able to go to the factory in Williston and see them made. This is a young company but it is very savvy in what makes us horse people happy. They have come up with some very neat innovations that only their trailers have.. check out their website or go to the Indiana dealer webpage they show the features best on their website.

When I have contacted them with questions or needing anything the customer service has been excellent.

Good luck with your decision. If you pick the Shadow you will be happy for many years to come. If you have any particular questions about their LQ I might be able to answer.. one would only hope since I own one.

Gard I don't know why you bring that up in this discussion.. Have you even seen one of these trailers in person.. I have. That particular model was built for a select group of horse owners not for all horse owners. Maybe you should go look at one in person and you might have a better understanding of what its main purpose is for.. not all people plan on hauling their horses all over the country side up and down mountain passes.. they might just want to get to the local trailhead or riding arena.

So MSM please don't let that crazy talk on that thread influence your decision.. check the trailer out in person you will be very happy with what you see for yourself..

Gard I don't know why you bring that up in this discussion..

Whenever someone is researching a topic, he should have all the information about that topic that is available, whether it is good, bad or indifferent. From this, he can make an informed decision.

Obviously the OP didn't do a search under Shadow. During the last year there was a great deal of discussion about that brand. I couldn't link all of them, and chose the most recent.
