hello....could someone help me...i just purchased a 1987 Circle J extra high/wide 2 horse trailer. one of the chest bars and maybe one of the butt bars are missing. where can i find replacements for them? the divider does come out, if thats a help.

My trailer of long ago used 5/16" chain slipped through 3/4" black plastic water pipe, then taped with electrical tape on the ends.... I imagine that trailer is long gone, but those chains are still in service somewhere!! Chains were permenantly attached to center partition and used "S" hooks to attach to the outer wall. If you need more protection than the plastic pipe over the chain.... An old ragged velcro shipping boot adds a nice touch to wrap the butt/breast bar for a little more cushion/protection.

Another piece of padding that can be added to Retento's chain idea is circular foam pipe insulation. It's available in several sizes, can be easily replaced and is inexpensive. We used it over the plastic pipe, as it tends to break up quickly if it is used alone.
