Hi. I almost got scammed about 2 months ago on a 95 Sundowner with living quarters! I was on my way to Money Gram them the money when one of my friends called and read me the scam warning. I had no idea? I hadn't had a computer in forever and I didn't realize people did that. Lucky for me I found out just in time!!! So if anyone had a REAL trailer for sale and older on with living quarters at an affordable cost just email me!! Thanks!!

If its too good to be true, its usually is. If its online doubly so. If its in warehouse,its scam. If its on ebay but don't use the ebay email system, its a scam. If its in europe waiting to be shipped to USA, its a scam.
People get scammed only becuase we sometime lose common sense if we think we are getting some great deal of the century. The fact is- scams have occured long before the internet. It will continue until everyone learns their lesson

It is insane.....I have had FOUR people try just in the past 2 days....one guy was "deaf" and couldn't talk on the phone that's why he was using money gram....one guy was going to Iraq and couldn't handle "personal business" over the phone on the base....one guy just got divorced and didn't have a phone....and a lady just got divorced and didn't have a phone.....it's crazy

Maybe you should quit calling/emailing about the $5,900 4 horse slants with 10ft lq.

I have been on this site for over 3 years, I have read lots of stories about people finding the perfect trailers, I have helped people find trailers that suited them. With all that said I have never read about anyone buying a trailer for 10-20% of it's value. So if you are finding aluminum trailers for $5,900 $6,900, something has to tell you that this isn't right. If you are finding full blown aluminum LQ trailers for under $10K, there should be a light bulb come on and tell you "this guy is trying to trick me" if someone sends you more money than you are asking for something "everything that happens after that is going to be a trick" I can't believe we live in a world where the greed in people overcomes the common sense. Now for the above advice if you all would send me $20 and forward this message to everyone you know, then your monitor will turn into a bucket full of gold coins.

my goodness there are some funny guys on here isn't there? Maybe if you actually knew the type of trailers I have been e-mailing about you would say that....I didn't put this on here for people to be judgemental I put this on here so people would know what was out there....I had no idea....I was just trying to help someone else not get scammed.....I guess that was bad on my part if you know everything then why are you on here?

Could you share with us the asking price of the LQ trailer you believe was a scam? People may be jumping to conclusions, but other posters are correct, if the price is way below market, that is a good indication the deal is a scam.

Speaking of being scammed my advice to everyone is watch your bank cards, credit cards etc. I have used E-Bay for a long time and find it easy to pay for things using Paypal. Well some 'sleezoid' hacked my account and tried transferring funds to his/her account. What's wrong with people now a days?

The thing is stacimichael, scams for trailers and horses are not new which explains some of the replys. Even if you haven't been online, people have been looking for a mark since time began,computers just make it easier and faster to scam. You might be a honest person but you can't assume the other guy is. many otherwise intelligent people loses there senses if the deal is online....
If your not sure,take your business to a dealer. private sales,even up front deals, are fraught with problems if you don't know what to ask,where to look and how much something is worth.
