I would like to put a 12 volt stereo in my weekend that I am doing and would like to know where you 'al are putting the antenna on your trailers and if not what are your doing as far as the antenna goes, it is to late to put it on the roof because the ceiling has been done [I forgot about the stereo when I was doing it dummy me] can it be mounted on the side and will I get good reception  Thanks

I put my stereo at the foot of the bed close to the ceiling.  I have about a 4' short wall.  I placed the antenna just above it before I closed in the corner, but I had enough lead wire that I could have placed it in the horse area.  Depending on where you want the stereo you could mount the antenna in the horse area and feed the wire through the wall.  Mounting on the side would also work.

You can mount it just about anywhere you want, you will get better reception if the signals aren't partially blocked by the trailer. If you can get the antenna sticking up above the top of the trailer you should be in good shape.

Mine is mounted on the sidewall and gets great reception. Like greyhorse said, mount it high enough that you can get it up past the roof line a little ways.
