Quick question if you are just hauling one horse in a 2 H bumper pull slant...... does he need to go in the first stall? Weight closer to the hitch? New to slant trailers....... Thanks

Where are the axles? You don't want your whole load behind the axles, then your tongue weight won't be right and you could have sway problems. I've always been taught to put your load before or over the axles. I have a 4 horse and if just hauling 1 or two they go in one of the first 3 stalls. The 4th stall is behind my axles.

Just FYI, my 2H slant has;
17% tongue weight empty
14% with 2 horses
11% with 1 horse in the rear stall
There is a noticable degradation of handling (though not to the point of 'danger') with only 1 horse in the rear stall despite the fact the tongue weight is still within "spec". There is about 6" between the rear of the fender and the rear of the box, so the axles are about as far back as they get.
