Well found some new folk to ride with, this is the type they were.................

 -

As you can tell by my mouth flapping away in the pic, they were full of questions.......
 -

Drove up to Spicers Res. and parked at the Sno Park as I figured I wasn't gonna get in with the rig quite yet, and decided to ride in all the way on the road. (The elevation at Spicers is 6300-7025 ft.) I'm sure glad I didn't get brave and pull all the way in cause I would of gotten pretty stuck! The dirfts of snow were pretty intense in spots along the way, nothing hard for Josie as yall know, she is the "horse snow plow!" The Jeep 4x4 club was pretty excited to see me and were full of questions. All the way in we leaped frogged each other, they's get stuck, I'd lock mine in and go! They'd pass me and honk and I would catch up to them around the next few corners and snow banks! I almost beat them into Union Res. as I was able to trot along the road on the hillside banks where there was no snow, so I made a pretty good clip in time. I was right on there spare tires when I reached the Union Res. road and trotted right along behind them in! Not too bad of snow, and it is melting fast which is making for some beautiful waterfalls, and high rushing creeks! No boonie crashing in the snow like my previious snow rides, so this was a nice first ride out for the 2008 sierra trail riding season, also it was a great 20 mile jaunt for Josie and she is sure full of herself still.

I've had to put Fancy on the back burner for a bit while she heals, she got into some old corral pipe from the old stagecoach corrals that are laying out behind the scale shack and cut her front legs up pretty good. She is actually healing up really well and quick! In all the years we've had horses out there no one has ever gotten into those, well quess what.........time to move the danged pipe to the big barn area!

ON to some more pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone lined up and ready for the first snow crossing....................
 -

Here they come, around the bend.............
 -

One of the many great snow runoffs...........
 -

The worst of the damage on the road done by the snow................
 -

more to come...............

The only only way I have found the big pics to work is...............

I have so many forum boards I'm on that follow my stories, so I copy, cut from the one forum it works from then come over to this board and paste it on a new topic. Seems to work, I also use Photobucket they have the larger size pics.....

I don't like the snow much, but for riding like that I'd be willing to give it a shot.
