Try searcing the forum on Silverstar - This rings a bell - I think it was just discussed recently.  Good Luck getting your trailer - or perhaps your money back.

From what I understand, you might want to start working on getting the deposit back. Past post on this subject suggest that Silverstar cannot secure any money to build trailers with. I hope your dealer is a good guy. But I suspect if he was a real good guy he would have already told you this and refunded your cash.

Sorry to here about your problem. I bought a new Silverstar three years ago and it took me about three months to get the trailer. They make a quality trailer and we are very satisfied with ours, other than we wish we had ordered a slide out too. We are thinking about trading it for one with a slide-out, but after learning of your problem, we probably won't consider a Silverstar.

Does anyone know any details regarding Silver Star?  I thought they made fairly good trailers... I own one...

My old S-S dealer is now recommending Lakota trailers... not sure what that portends for those of us who own Silver Stars... I had no idea they were in financial dire straits--which they must be if they can't get a loan to build new trailers...

I ordered my Silver Star in April 2006 and was told delivery would be in June.

Well - June went by, so did July and August and I was about ready to pull my hair out. Spoke to the Sales Manager down at Silver Star, was promised it faithfully in September (that didnt happen) and I finally received it in October

My dealer was also ready to pull HIS hair out as well - I dont blame him one iota - and now that SS is under "restructuring" he addressed every single warranty issue that I had and I am 100% pleased with everything about the trailer.

SS also threw in some extra's at NC as they did acknowledge there were some "issues" with non delivery

I hope they can get everything sorted out. I LOVE my new trailer even though it has been sitting since October, looking shiny and new, since all of my shows were over and done with by the time I finally got it
