dude the quality is not there
All depends on what you are comparing to. Compare it to same price range and it is. Compare it to the higher priced customs, then no it isn't.
Gone, All depends on your price range and what you want. The used 4-Star that you looked at is a better trailer for the money. But it is used with no warranty. All depends on what you are looking for.

Gone, I am with you on the looking for a used trailer not being any fun... I've been looking (pretty hard) for over a year now, and casually looking for a year before that.. It seems like I can't find the quality and features that I want to be happy, with the weight (limit) that I need to be safe, for the price I need to stay solvent(!!!)

Gone, I have a 2008 Blue Ribbon 3H with 7 ft LQ that I purchased new and I really like it. I have had it a year now and have been pleased with no problems. It is not a Cimarron, but for the money, it is a great trailer. I pull it with an F250 7.3 diesel and have pulled it from Ohio to SC and all over NC.

Do a search on blue ribbon on this forum. If I remember right someone from Exiss went in a started this brand. Compair the Blue Ribbon to the Exiss SPORT model, looks like the same trailers and specs.
Have not looked real close at them, but does not look bad for the money.
I found this information on the HTW home page in the part that Mr.Truck does his write ups.
North Jackson, OH - October 20, 2008 – The move from Oklahoma City to North Jackson, Ohio is complete for Blue Ribbon Trailers, LTD. With the first trailer rolling off of the production line just a couple of days ago, Blue Ribbon is successfully marking the next chapter in its history with a renewed mission: to build a high-quality trailer while keeping costs low.
Clint Leonard, owner of Blue Ribbon Trailers, LTD, decided to move production to Ohio based on the need to keep costs as low as possible for future success. He states, “The present economy is a challenge for everyone, and controlling costs is very important to ensure the success of Blue Ribbon and its Dealer network. Blue Ribbon has successfully reduced its costs and improved efficiencies over the course of the company’s history. We have maintained our costs when most of our competitors have had several price increases over the same period. This move represents another significant cost savings, which we pass on to our dealers, and our dealers can then pass on to their customers.”
Specifically, the move gives Blue Ribbon Trailers, LTD better access to competitively priced aluminum extrusions, a more modern production facility, and a large base of skilled aluminum welders to pull from due to the large concentration of nationally-recognized semi-trailer manufacturers in the northeast Ohio area.
In addition, Blue Ribbon Trailers welcomes the addition of a new management team to the North Jackson, Ohio facility. Ray Steede, Plant Manger, comes to Blue Ribbon with over 22 years of hands-on experience in production management and quality-control in trailer manufacturing. Jim Shea (Engineer) and Shane Brogan (Production Supervisor) come to Blue Ribbon with 5 years experience.
Blue Ribbon Trailers, LTD specializes in value-priced, high-quality aluminum horse trailers, livestock trailers and enclosed trailers. RAR don't give up. With our first LQ we looked for almost two months. Because we weren't looking for a specific brand or model, we were able to shop for features. We ended up with a brand we initially hadn't considered, and fitted with more amenities than we had originally contemplated.
Our second one was a little different; we wanted a specific brand and model, and equipped with a full weekender and bathroom. We looked at many and almost three months later we found a gem. We purchased each one at less than half the price of a new one, and couldn't be more pleased with our ownership.
In the beginning of our search, and after missing the first couple trailers because of indecisions, we learned to "pull the trigger" when the right ones showed up.
Keep up the spirit. They're out there, and more are showing up everyday.
