Any idea what at Exiss XT/SS 310 LQ trailer might cost, or something like it, used?
I looked at their Sport Horse models, which evidently come in 6'10" wide models (similar size to what I have now, but with living quarters.)
Debating whether to just start over and take a loss on my current trailer, or to send it to have LQ built, or to keep pressing with my plan to build LQ myself (cheapest option, but I'm worried about quality of results!!)
Grrrr... why can't I make a million dollars a year? Then trailers prices would be such a small issue!!!

there is no doubt about it trailers are pricey..it is not something to jump into.. i looked at full lq sundowner about 6 or 7 years ago and said no way am i paying that kind of money for a horsetrailer well guess what last year i did just that..im not rich by no means i am paying payments on this new trailer and so far i have not regretted one month after 18 months...i was scared to go with a used one only because i knew nothing about the lq and wanted warrenty...after having one i would never attempt to do a lq trailer myself theres alot of stuff you just dont think about.but if your really really good at that stuff in plumbing electrical building etc it would be worth it..what ever you do dont rush yourself into it..we use ours like 20 times a year that is something else to think about... good luck to you

In my message, I'm mainly just expressing frustration in not knowing how my DITY LQ will turn out when it is finished (hopefully by the end of the year.)
I'm 33! I can't think about a retirement home yet!! I'm too busy trying to save money so I *can* retire, and am also wary of increasing debt during a time of military drawdown in my particular Service branch.
My wife and I are in that stage right now where daycare is the biggest monthly expense, which is where we ought to be. Two kids, one on the way, one more wanted, and a wife in school fulltime. Heheheheheh.
DITY LQ are frustrating!! But it just seems the only way to go. Maybe I should gather ideas from you fine folks, a relatives husband who does construction for a living, and my own experience and just write a book on this subject. That'd pay for a nice new trailer in a few years. :-)

Don't get frustrated Mike! I'm sure it'll be awesome when you're finished. Trust me, I can feel your pain when it comes to daycare. I use to "work" to afford it !!

Hang in there Mike! Sounds like you are doing just fine.Other Options to consider.Just go with Insulation, the largest refrigerator you can find or afford (propane) and a good heat source and just sleep and store stuff in there. Set up a camp stove etc when you get there. With the add a room idea, even poor weather would not too bad.
