I just purchase my Ac its a carrier 13.5. How should I go about wiring. Im also fixing up the inside as well.. We will have a radio several lights and a Tv. How do I go about wiring this as well. What type plugs would I use and do I need a breaker box as well. Where do I start and where can I find these items..

I'm not going to be much help, but I do know that you will need a breaker box. And regular household outlets will work. Other than that, I'm not much help.
I am hunting a different trailer, and I'm hoping it will have A/C already in it. Otherwise, I'll just have mine installed for me. The insulation and paneling I can pretty much do, but wiriing, no way! I'm not that brave.

I'm pretty sure you will need a 20 amp breaker for the A/C unit. Most Trailers get wired with a 30 amp service. So you are just breaking down the total servie to what the A/C unit needs. I assume you are putting in some type of pannel for electrical distribution.
20amp service requires a 12guage wire. Where as most outlets will be 15 amp and use 14guage wire.
Pay attention to your grounds and polarity. Most places you plug in a trailer in (campground or home) will be GFI protected circuits and they are very sensitive to grounding and polarity errors.

bumping this up.. we will be working on the Ac this weekend.. anyone ever do this before.. What would be the best way to get the Ac to the top..we do have a chain hoste.

This worked for us- Put the AC in the back of the truck, then partially back under GN as in hooking up. It isn't such a far reach to the top that way. Two folks in truck can swing it up that way.

Any way that it doesn't drop from the trailer roof !!
Seriously... you might want to put a piece of plywood on the roof to spread your weight and protect the roof finish

The one I have is a Carrier and i've been really happy with it. It'll freeze your butt off. Get some good sealant as well and don't use it sparingly. I would recommend a breaker box (70 or 100 amp) and some 20 amp breakers. In a basic way to explain it, hook your plug from the trailer to the breaker box, the A/C to your breaker. I used 12N/M wire (yellow wire with 3 wires in it. White, Black and Green (or bare) or Romex (3 wires in a steel rippled looking casing). You can get this at Home Depot and such. Make sure it's rated at 20 amps. Hope some of this helps.

Put mine in last year. Lowered the tailer leg all the way down and backed the truck close to the side of trailer. Had the AC in the trck bed along with two 2x10 boards and some cardboard. Clamped the boards to the top of the bed rails and stood on those,placed the cardboard on the roof and the AC on top of the cardboard. I have a Hart trailer so I can walk on the roof plywood might be good if your trailer has an AL. roof. You already have the necessary framing in for the AC? If not, that will have to be done first. Mine was already framed and wired so the whole deal took less than two hours.
