Does anyone run 2 Honda 2k generators in parallel. And does it run the AC with no problem. I have a Honda 3k and if it's really hot it won't have enough power to start my AC. Don't want a Yamaha because of the no pull start option. I have had a dead battery in my Honda after no use for a long period. Don't want to jump start my generator. What say yea oh wise ones ?

Yes- that's what we use for both of our trailers. They work well and are very quiet. Also have the extended run gas tank that keeps them going for Many hours.
The only limitation is using a microwave with the AC running.

Thanks for the advice, I looked at the Yamaha 3000 with the boost, that's the one for me. It was the bigger Yamaha's, 4500 & 6500 I looked at that did not have the pull ropes. As far as the 2 Honda 2000's the fuel tank capacity broke the deal. Going to the bike shop to get a Yamaha EF3000iSEB

I have the two honda set up and it runs my AC without a problem on the hottest days of the summer. Actually in addition to running the AC a lot of times we run a big livestock fan on the horses and don't have any issues.

We'll I got the Yamaha 3000 with the boost. I waited until it was 106 here and plugged it in and turned on the AC. The generator revved up and the AC started. I ran it for a while and turned it off for a couple of minutes and tuned it back to low cool. The generator revved up but could not start the AC whiile it was hot and hot outside. After playing with it I found that if I turn the thermostat off on the AC, put it on low cool, let the fan get going and then turn the thermostat to cold, it worked every time. I was going to get a Yamaha 4300 or 6500' but either have a pull cord, so that's a deal breaker. Need a pull cord if the battery is dead on the generator.

OP ... I've found my genset will start the A/C compressor easily if I keep the eco mode off. It uses more fuel and is noisier but the gen is already turning at speed when the a/c starts.

Oops sorry bout that. Just wanted to say I've been running a Yamaha 4500 for 4 years, almost 700 hours, on the same battery and its never been jump started. I crank and run about 20 minutes once a month if not being used.
