My heat was working great the last time I used it in April. This weekend it would only blow cold air. Is there something simple I can check before taking it in to be fixed?

Are you sure you have propane and the tanks are turned on? My furnance blows cold air when out of propane.

Yes and I tried both propane tanks thinking one may have been low and not enough pressure even though both registered "green". I lit the stove, which is above the heater so I know propane was getting that far.

If I have turned the propane off it can take a long time for propane get to my furnace.
Are you able to light the stove or is there just air coming out that got into the line?

Have you check the pilot on the furnace to make sure it isn't stopped up with dirt etc.

I don't know if your furnace has one, but when my heater woiuld not throw hot air, I replaced the thermocouple.

OK I will open it up and look. I didn't want to open anything up if there wasn't anything I could do. Thanks.

Do you have a "dirt dobber" screen cover on it?  If they have gotten in, it can plug it enough that it won't work.
