I am trying to find out as much information as possible on Keifer Built horse trailers and the problems with rear doors.  Please let me know if you have any information or know where I can get some information.

Must be referring to a problem old trailers. New ones are as tight as a meat locker, tough as a tank.

I think this is fishing for a problem.

There are a couple of "interesting" posts from within the last 90 days or so that come up with a search of this board.

They refer to problems with bumper pull trailers.

If it was a problem, they have certainly more than fixed it with the more recent models...

I have a 10 yr old golden eagle, 3 horse slant step up bumper pull, never have had a problem with the back doors, even with a warmblood mare trying to kill herself in the back spot in the trailer.

Awesome trailer, double steelwall construction, hauls like a dream. Last trailer I will ever own.

I have a 2004 KB Genesis and I think that the doors are some of the best in the industry.  They have double seals and open and shut like a deep freezer.  Very durable; built like a tank!  Not to mention the HUGE hinges that support them.

What kind of problems are you having? I have a 2001 KB Genesis and there are several spots on the back doors that look like they are rotten. A Keifer dealer in IA told me that someone else made the doors, NOT Keifer Built.....still.....it is decreasing the value of it as a trade-in/resale....LLP
