Hello all,

Does anyone know of a good supplier/mfr for a battery rack?
Looking for one to mount on gooseneck wall, don't want a regular metal battery box, just a frame to hold batteries (will put the batteries in a plastic box).

Thanks!

Not the answer you were looing for, but I used an aluminum underbody tool box.
24 in long by 18 by 18, it clears the truck adequately and could take up to 3 LARGE 12 v batteries.
Not my idea, I got it from this forum.

I have one floating around my barn. If I can find it in the next couple of days, I'll let you know.

I have been looking for one of these for months.  When you look them up on e-bay, what do you search for?  I have tried trailer battery holder, battery mount, battery tray and have only gotten the plastic ones for cars.

I had a local shop weld me one. They welding it up out of 4 pieces of "L" metal. I had about a 2" lip under the edges of the battery box and 1" high sides. We then put a center Corbal under it for support. Welded the whole thing to the trailer under the gooseneck. About $25.00 Size wize, I designed it to accept a Marine Battery box. The box was a snug fit inside the side rails. No sliding or moving while driving bad roads. I then secured it all with a web strap. Strap held top on plastic box and box onto the shelf. Undo the strap and take the top off. Undo the battery cables and the Plastic box & battery would just lift off the metal frame. I had it on my old trailer for 5 years. Worked great.

Thats probally what I'll end up doing after we move.

Hey, we got rain this morning!!!  Its probally only about a 10th of an inch, but I'll take what we can get.  My kids thought I was nuts for dancing in the rain.
