I am considering getting Firestone airbags installed on my 2009 GMC 3500HD. Am wondering if by doing so, if I will lose any clearance between gooseneck and truck bed rails? Recently had 2" blocks installed to lift the trailer, and want to ensure I'm not going to lose the clearance I gained, when the bags are inflated.

we have timbrens instead of air bags, but have had air bags in the past and they do not add height to the tow truck, they level it once you are loaded..

I installed a set of Firestone airbags on my 2012 F350 and really like them. They really improve the ride while pulling the trailer and as kooner mentioned take are great for levelling the truck/trailer once connected. I did not loose any clearance.

Ditto the previous replies. The air bags or Timbrens will not add any height, only decrease the amount of suspension sag, when the trailer's weight is added.

personal preference is the tembrens and the main reason is a 30min. install time and no air compressor and air lines to deal with, neither one of them is going to hurt or help the way the truck rides.
