I have a crank-up T shaped antenna on my trailer. Of course, the digital deadline came along so I purchased a convertor box. I also got a new flat screen TV for Christmas. When I hooked it up at our first show, I was happy with the reception, the channel selection was great as well. What I can NOT figure out is HOW to get more volume from it? The TV is maxed, and the volume control on the remote goes all the way up, but it is still not very loud. Like when the furnace runs, you can not hear the TV. Anybody have the secret code to free up more volume through the convertor box? This was also a problem with my old 13 inch TV. And the new flat screen cranks WAAAAY up LOUD when hooked up to cable in the house. This leads me to believe it is the convertor box that is limiting the volume. I suppose I could dig up a phone number, but thought I would ask here first.
I may not get back to check for answers for a day or two, sorry! But thanks in advance for any help....:)

If you got the TV for Christmas then it probably does not need the converter box-Can't hurt to try it, and it may solve your volume issues.Putting a flat screen, inverter and Xbox 360 in my trailer this week for the show on May 8th. I don't show but have to drive the truck and trailer so I will have something to do rather than read a book. I will have to pause my games for the classes my wife is in, I suppose. :-)

Thanks ya'll! I did do some searching and discovered that indeed most newer TV's have a converter built in. I will definately try it without next time. Sure would be easier than doing the hook-up, channel scan, etc.
Yeah you better pause your COD (or whatever X-Box) game to go be a cheerleader for the wife, lol! My son is addicted to COD! :)

Almost all the new, and specially the flat screen TV's are digital compatible. The few that are still in stores that arent are being sold at a ridiculously reduced price. If you go to a new location you will have to do a channel scan to find the local channels in that area.

COD is cool- at the moment I am into Call of Juarez, although I wish it had a light gun like Time Crisis... I also am a big fan of all the Cabela's hunting games- I don't have them all but I have a good 1/2 dozen of them. :-)Putting a 13" roof mounted TV into the new truck and PS2 under the back seat for road trips. PS2 will be able to re-locate to the trailer LQ. Should be a good show season! ;-)

COD is fun...but you might want to go try MLB 2k10 the show..its awesome..hitting is hard and its as close you can get w/ out going out to the diamond to play.
