The first place to start would be the manufacturer of your trailer. If the brand you have is no longer made; than I would look into doors made for RV's or doors from other trailer manufacturers. Is your trailer steel or aluminum? A lot of your aluminum manufacturers have a frame out already built into the slant wall for a walkthry door.

There have been several previous similar postings about these doors. Several of the DIYers bought walk through door/frame assemblies from Exiss dealers. I'm sure other manufacturers also sell the doors as well.
Try DHMC or Select Trailer. They both sell many brands and are willing to help.

These doors are very easy to install providing you purchase a door that fits your frame. These doors are installed using self tapping screws. I would really try to purchase the door from the manufacture to ensure that it will fit properly.

It takes a certain amount of skill and fortitude to cut a large hole in an expensive trailer. Some basic power tools and mechanical aptitudes are necessary. What is easy for an experienced person, may be difficult for a novice.
If you have a steel trailer, be careful about installing an aluminum door. The metals are not compatible, and must be isolated from each other to prevent a galvanic reaction.

Is it very hard to install one?
Lisa- First, let me say I like 4 Star trailers. Now, with that established, your 4 Star will be one of the hardest trailers out there to put a door in. 4 Star would have used a door that they fabricated, not one of the camper type like many use. And secondly, they would not have framed an opening for one if they weren't planning on installing it. You will have to cut out & relocate at least one wall stud (maybe 2 depending on where you want the door) and frame top and bottom of the door. Then weld the door's hinges into place. Not a challenge for a welder or fabricator, but not necessarily a typical DIY job either.
