Thanks Dave,

Glad to be an advertiser on HorseTrailerWorld.com. I think our product, the Trailer Toad, will benefit a lot of horse trailer owners who have either downsized their tow vehicle or are towing their trailer with a motor home and know the tongue weight is damaging their coach.

If any Forum readers have questions about the Trailer Toad I will be glad to personally answer them. They can also visit our website to see and read more about the only patented weight-bearing hitch for bumper pull (tag) trailers.

Thank you and we hope you towing experience goes smoothly and safely!

Jok Nicholson

Trailer Toad compay owner.

I saw one of these on the freeway once and I'm interested in learning more about the application.

I visited your website.  I don't see how the height can be adjusted to accomodate the high hitch receiver on a say a 4WD pickup truck, and varying heights of 2 axle horse trailers.

FOr instance, people can buy different "drops" for the ball height. But I don't see how that can be adjusted for on the Toad.

I didn't want to post the question on your website because it said I HAD to leave an address.

Looks like it adjusts for height like any other WDH.....only this one has an axle in between the shank and head.

Hey guys,

Thanks for checking the Trailer Toad out.

Good questions. The height is even more adjustable in the rear than a regular weight distribution hitch, we have 14" of adjustment in the rear. The front can fit receiver hitches from 12" off the ground to 25" off the ground (at least those are the lowest and highest measurements I have seen).

The Trailer Toad is actually designed to carry the tongue weight of your trailer. This leaves the tow vehicle sitting level and stopping without skidding the front tires. The axle pivots and follows the tow vehicle, this practically ends any sway issue you might have.

The most popular use so far has been to allow motor homes to tow enclosed car trailers without damaging frames and bodies of the coach.

We see a growing customer base using SUVs and 1/2 ton pickups using the Trailer Toad so they can haul trailers with 700 to 1500 lbs of tongue weight without having handling problems or smashing the suspension and tires.

If you are thinking about downsizing your truck the Trailer Toad offers you an option to do just that and still be able to take your trailer out on the road without "white knuckling" it.

I will check in here on a regular basis and would be happy to answer questions.

Thank you.

I have received a few calls from the HorseTrailerWorld forum. Thanks for looking into our product.

We feel we have a safe answer to let you tow a bumper pull trailer with a slightly smaller truck that you used to use. The Trailer Toad is also the absolute best way to tow a bumper pull trailer with a motor home. It prevents damages to the coach casused by stress to the frame and body and keeps the coach level during hard braking.

If you are looking for a motor home to go to the weekend horse events, keep Trailer Toad in mind as an answer to towing with a motor home.

Thank you,

Jok Nicholson
