Used ours this past weekend at an endurance ride. Started it up at 3:00 pm Friday and shut it down at 3:00 pm Sunday with it powering our A/C (during the day) our fridge and the occasional Microwave useage. All in all I'm extremely satified with it. The noise level was great, although it is a bit noiser with the Smart Throttle off, and the gas usage was minimal. On Saturday, with the A/C and the fridge running, it ran from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm without the "Smart throttle" on. That's 9 hours without having to fill it up. With the smart throttle on (no A/C running as it would not power up the A/C with the Smart Thottle switch on) it ran from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am Friday night and had a little less than half a tank of gas in it Saturday morning when I checked. I love the fact that the gas gauge works cause it didn't in our other generator. All in all I used 7 gallons of gas all weekend in this generator with it running for 48 hours straight. Walked by a Honda of the same size and the noise level was very compariable. For the price, it can't be beat.

Just had to put my .02ยข in.

Your's has an actual gage?  Mine just has a little round "window" that I can't see anything in.  Other than that I love mine.  It starts right up.  Wish my weed eater would.

It's a round window and it has a E at one end and an F at the other with a red pointer in between. Works great.

I guess they forgot to put the E and F with the litle red pointer in mine.  All I have is the round window.

Tell them you want one!  Mine has it too.
I haven't used mine in almost a month - so I figured it needed to run for a few minutes since it's been exposed to 7" of rain and several 100* days.
It started right up!

Hmmmmm.  Maybe I'll call and ask.  It would be nice to know how much gas I have left.

The 3500 doesn't have the gauge reading. The 3000 has the gauge reading.  Apparently the 3000 replaces the 3500, according to the dealer we bought ours from. We asked about the gauge. He opened several boxes and none of the 3500's had the E/F .... So we bought the 3000. He said they are the same generator, the 3000 replaces the 3500. FYI

I beg to differ. Mine is a 3500ti and it has a gauge that works perrrrfectly. Got the pictures to prove it... =) Here ya go. Not that this matters any...LOL. It is true that Kipor changed the name of the 3500ti to the 3000ti just very recently. Bought mine right around the time it was changing.

Looks just like mine except for the gage.  I wonder if it was an "oops" in the assembly line.

Yeah, I got mine right before him, and it was advertised as the 3500, but was the 3000 when I got it. And my gas gauge looks just like his, easy to read.

Sounds like an oops to me.
Mine is the 3500ti with a gage.

I think I'm gonna e-mail and ask.  My generator wouldn't start the other day and my husband kept telling me it was out of gas(when he could have opened the gas cap and checked!) and I kept telling him I had just filled it up.  It turned out it was low on oil and the safety system wasn't letting it run.  Changed the oil, filled it back up, and it started and ran perfectly.  Out of gas......  And he watched me fill it up!!  Of course if it had the gage he might not have believed it either.

you commented that the sound was "comparable" to yamaha 3000.  Does that mean it is the same, louder or quieter?  I'm not concerned with the price being cheaper.  just the sound thanks

Yes, basically they are the same size, wattage, etc.
On paper, Kipor hould be a tad bit louder, but for those that have experience with Hondas, they say they are the same.
(I personally don't know - and don't care.  This Kipor is QUIET)
IMO, just look at both.  If you want super quiet, cough up $3k for an Onan.  But, Kipor and Honda both are below state noise requirements so you're good with either choice.

thanks for the info.  I went to the onan site and could not figure out which generator you are refering to for $3,000.  All of the onans listed on their website have sound ratings of over 60db.  That is far from super quiet.  Which one are you meaning is super quiet?

Marquis Series.  They're measuring 60+db at 3 meters (roughtly 10 feet)
The Honda/Yamaha/Kipor are 60+db at 7 meters (roughly 22 feet)

I guess I really lucked out.  A couple of months ago, a friend called and asked if I still wanted a generator.  Well, yes.

He came across a "new" never started Multi-Power MP7000E, suggested retail is $2599, and I got it for $625.  No, it's not stolen.  The guy owns a business and was in a money crunch!  It has 6000 cont. watts and 6500 max. watts.

I was afraid it would be SOOO loud, but last Sunday I used it for the first time to run the A/C, and it really wasn't any louder than the smaller ones around me.  I still want to add the aftermarket muffler thing to quieten it down some more.
