WooHoo! You just made my day!!! I'm so happy to hear that it is opening again. Was wondering where we could this go Spring that didn't take a bank loan for gas to get to a riding camp. Now if it would just warm up and dry out we'll be set. Thanks for sharing.

That will be great. If they have access to the trails.

Everyone,

Need conformation on this. I understand that Ponderosa is back open, however the ground with the access to the trails is still owned by the bank and posted no tresspassing. Can someone confirm this.....If this is true.....then we are back to square one......

A friend of mine was down there the weekend of April 12th, and camped and rode. She didn't know who the land belonged to that they rode out on. So someone must have given them permission to ride across their land.

Talked to Debbie at Ponderosa and they own the camp and 386 acres. The remaining land is still owned by the bank from the previous bankruptcy... so basically ride at your own risk since it is private and marked No tresspassing. So the only way to get to more public riding land at Huckleberry State park is to ride from camp up along Highway K. Too bad. Hopefully the remaining land can be purhcased in a few more months for a worry-free riding experience.
