Now that I have a beautiful new trailer, I am thinking about buying a cover for it. I will probably only use the cover 3 months out of the year, (Jan, Feb & Mar) as I don't expect to do a lot of trailering then.

Ideally, I'd rather have a shed to park it under, but that's not an option right now. I realize that the summer sun is going to be as harsh as the winter weather, probably harsher, but I don't want to have to keep removing a cover every weekend. ...unless there's one out there that is idiot-proof to put on and take off.

So, where do I start. I see covers all over the internet, but don't know if I should shell out the big bucks for a true customer cover, or go with the "one-size fits most" as seen at Valley Vet...for $160. Pros? Cons? Dos? Don'ts? Thanks!

We ordered one last year from BeverlyBay.com.  We got the "one size fits most" universal cover and it did just fine for our 3H GN.  We live on a windy little hill and the wind caused one small tear on the corner by the camper door so this year when we put it on, I will anchor it a little better and find some way to cushion the corners.  Other than that (and I take the blame since I know how the wind gets here) we've been quite happy with it.  It is a little hard to get on, but hubby was able to do it by himself by backing the truck up to the trailer and climbing up on top.               Good luck with your search.

RIDE ON!

Just a question dose the cover trap the moisture inside the trailer ?

The one I am thinking about at Valley Vet is triple layered and specifically designed to allow moisture vapor to escape. Three layers designed to help keep out moisture in the first place... SFS Aqua Shed... I also will check out the one suggested above.

Now that would be an ideal solution. I would love to get something like that, but unfortunately, it's not in my budget.

I truly would prefer some kind of shelter for it, rather than have to deal with a cover. If I could just convince my husband to move his tractor out of my barn..... but that's not likely to happen!
