You can't get this at a hardware store. It has some kind of a bump on back that allows you to adjust the rope lenght without letting your horse get away. It's really easy and safe for your horses. If you can, watch the video. www.theclip.info

Location: Southern New Mexico		I watched the video.  And from what it shows, all the bump  is for is to adjust the resistance on the rope. (how fast it allows the rope to pull out)  You still have to tie a knot in the rope to keep it from pulling out and letting the horse loose.  It would probally work great on a high line.

I use this product and love it. Just makes adjusting the lenght of your rope a bunch quicker.
