My trailer like many others is white painted aluminum with a portion on the rear panel that is silver polished aluminum. This year we washed up the white part removing all black streaks only to be left with horrible white streaks on the silver portion. I have tried several products to remove the residue but nothing seems to cut through and leave the polished aluminum clean and clear. I am looking for more suggestions before I break down and take it to the dealer for professional opinion/cleaning. Thanks!

Depends on how involved you want to get. Topoftheline.com can sell you a polishing kit (Porter Cable) for around $200. Then use the Rolite Pre-polish material and finish with the Rolite Metal Polish. Will have your trailer looking better than new. It won't harm the graphics and will take 4-8 hours, depending.
Same detailing machine will take all streaks, etc. off the painted areas as well. Don't overdo it on the paint, you can remove it down to bare metal. Read the material they have on the site for more infro.

What brand of trailer do you have there? Are you sure it's polished aluminum,  stainless steel or the material that some call "bright dip"?

It is a Stratus by Bison. I was wondering about stainless steel but I thought due to rigidity they don't usually corregate that metal. I believe the metal on the nose/front of the trailer is stainless but was under the impression the sides were polished aluminum. Any thoughts?

The polishing kit and polish works great on stainless steel also.

Here's an old thread from 2010, you can thank our friend Gard for searching this out at that time. The picture you posted looked to be the brite dipped side of a Bison, not sure theres anything you can do to get the streaks out. Looks like your cleaner has harmed the coating on the stainless steel.....  http://www.horsetrailerworld.com/forum/printer-friendly.asp?threadid=14098

How far are you from Cuba Mo ? There's a Blue Beacon Truck wash there that can remove the streaks, clean your aluminum, including the polished Al and painted areas, and make the trailer look like new. It will cost you $35-45 for the trailer depending on length.
It will save you all kinds of time, and wasted supplies.
