I have a trailer with a 30 amp plug in, push in twist has a ring to screw to hold in place. I had a problem at the last show when I connected to electrical box. Every time I plugged into the box it tripped the breaker. Electrician looked at, a wire had came loose from one of the prongs on the connector at my trailer. His comments were these types are a piece of junk. Went to a show this past weekend, it has happened again. Anyone have suggestions, what type you have, etc.. open to any suggestions,, this is a real pain, to not know when you are going to have electricity or not...

Did it trip the breaker in the trailer or on the line you were trying to plug into?

I'm not sure what you are talking about with a screw ring on a 30 amp plug.

This is a standard 30 amp twist plug.

Most RV's just use a standard 3 prog plug that doesn't twist

Hi, I believe this is the type of connector described.

Yes this is the type of plug, the connection on the trailer is a female end. white box with a trap door you lift to plug into.

You have a short...my recommendation is a new landline which is the easiest replacement...if that doesn't work the next step is to replace the outlet on the side of the trailer
