I also have discovered a leak at the gray water tank outlet or discharge.  The leak is where the round discharge pipe is connected the the square tank.  Has this connection area been made this way as one piece or sealed after the pipe is inserted into the tank.  In other words can this leak be fixed or do I need a new tank.

If the propane doesn't light at all when the water heater is set up for use, then it could be due to storage of the unit. Sometimes the air in the propane line takes awhile to bleed out. Also, the jet that the propane comes through to be lit can sometimes get clogged. Cleaning it out could solve the problem. If the pilot light is lit by an electronic connection, checking the wires could find a loose connection. If all else fails, a repairman may be needed.

Do you have an Attwood or Surburban? Do you have spark? Do you have gas? Do you have electrical? Need some specifics to trouble shoot.

I did the same thing, forgot to change the bypass valve to refill the tank. I found a reset button on the unit and this reset the unit. it was on a black plastic cover top left of tank accesible from door on outside of trailer. This prevents the tank from overheating. Hope this helps.

I will find out the brand of water heater.  It started when I turned the button to on the first time.  No hot water came out of the faucet, so I went outside and could feel the heat at the water heater vent on the side of the trailer.  The light on the inside of the trailer next to the on-off switch was on.  Then I remembered the valve.  I turned off the water heater, opened the valve and turned the water heater to on again.  The light wouldn't come on.  As far as air in the lines, the fridge and heater were running for that very reason and it also lit the first time.  I will try to find a reset button on the outside.  Will return with more info
