Ok You guys offer great advice here. I have an Exiss 3h 8ft LQ. I want to get a hydraulic jack for it. I'm not sure what weight range I should get. I have looked at the Bulldog and the equalizer systems. Which would you suggest for this trailer....Also the best place to order one from..I had surgery on my right wrist and I can't crank it up anymore so I need one of those fancy buttons to push.... THX in advance......

Mine is the Equalizer brand. Not sure what the weight rating is. I don't really know what ratings they offer them in either. You'd probably need to know how much weight is actually on your jack leg to determine what size you need.
It is nice to push the button and in the event you have to manually jack it up or down, it's is still not too difficult.

I think the bulldog was rated at 12,000lbs, So i was thinking that would be enough to lift it. Did you have it installed or did you do it, The other half said he could put it on.I guess I'll have to do a comparison between the two. i know that most had either the bulldog or the equalizer. I want a good product for my money. I don't know much about them. This is my first LQ and since my surgery my wrist can't take the stress of cranking it up, plus this will be my last lq so I want all the amenities

well ill tell u what i have an equalizer jack its four years old and they say its shot...piss me off there is a 3 year warranty on it andyou mean to tell me a jack cant last longer than 4 years so guewssw what i get to do buy a new one....which im not giving equalizer my money i tried to get them to give me a better deal cuz mines only four years old well not so......

I seriously doubt that your trailer has 12,000 on the jack. Your trailer loaded probably weighs 15,000 to 16,000 lbs. Of which 2/3 to 3/4 of that weight is resting on the tires. So I doubt you ahve more than 4000 to 5000 lbs on the jack.
If your better half is mechanically inclined, it's a pretty straight forward install.

yes you might have 2/3 to 3/4 weight on your tires but it all depends on were your axles are also we have a 34 foot trailer and our axles are way in back ,the trailer rides very smooth but it also puts a lot of weight on jack and the truck..so give a little take a little i kind of wish they were a little more forward though but when you buy used you get what you get and dont throw a fit....
