Can anyone tell me where I would purchase a walk thru door? I am in the process of finishing the living quarters on my four horse sundowner and I would like to know what size I need to frame around for the walk thru. Thanks.

I wanted a walk-thru door for my 2H GN Eby trailer and the dealership where I bought it wanted $1100. to install one. That seemed pretty steep to me so I asked a fellow who had done some carpentry for us if he'd look over my trailer and see if he could put one in. Then we looked for a door that would work - got mine off Ebay. I got a regular camper door with a screen door attached, so I could have cross ventilation in summer and made it very convenient when using the cowboy shower. My guy did a beautiful job and had no problems at all. I did the touch up painting and cosmetic fixes. Oh, the door had a frosted glass window in it and my carpenter replaced the glass with a piece of the aluminimum that he cut for the door opening. My total cost was under $500. THe door was $200 and that included the shipping ($100 for the door and another $100 for shipping).

Do it right and get a Sundowner buillt walk thru door from the factory. Contact a Sundowner dealer nearest you; or Call Craig at our parts department at 800 659-4051, and he can get you one.

We put a walk thru door in ourselves in our stock combo. Couldn't see that much money for a door. We put an rv door with screen in. Most people use their front stall for storage anyway. We measured and marked twice before cutting once. We are getting ready to put a walk thru in our current trailer with LQ. We are going the same route and have purchased a door from the local RV cheap that was a replacement door.
