A group of us want to go to Montana and ride.   Some of us want gaited horses and some want bigger horses.  Has anyone been to a ranch that provides the horses, food and place to stay?  Since I live in NC, it is too far to take my own horse.

About 5 years ago, my daughter and I stayed at TX Ranch on the Wyoming/Montana border.  It's not a dude ranch and you'd better be in pretty good shape to spend the week working there, but we had a blast!  The web site is www.txranch.com.

Does anyone know of a ranch where a small group can ride horses in Montana.  Some of us want gatied horses and some not.  I still have not found a place.  We don't want to bring our horses and want to stay in a room, not a tent.  HELP

You need to get a copy of Trail Rider magazine, it'll be the best resource for this.
