2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 , 4wd pulling a 2H BP Logan. came with a nice shell, just wonderring how this could affect gas mileage? also what kind of mileage should i expect when hauling? i always use the tow/haul mode. thanks

what motor do you have?  the gmc (d/a is dmax/allison) in my sig gets 13.5mpg pulling the trailer in my sig......but then so did the trailblazer.  i would curious about the shell,  should improve aerodynamics,  probably not enough to matter to the engine though.

i believe it is 6.1 liter. gas

should be a 6.0 or 8.1 gas,  with the 6.0 i would expect around 10mpg....but i expected better mpg out of my diesel than i was getting with the trailblazer so what do i know?

I don't think the camper shell will affect your milage while you are towing the horse trailer. It might have a SMALL effect on milage on a long trip when you are not towing. Happy trails.

The RV'ers & race car hauler guys say that with a bumper pull trailer, they get much better economy with a camper shell on.

But running bobtail, it can cut 2 MPG off......
