Please welcome our latest advertiser Horse Trailers Warranties.  I've asked them to answer any questions people may have about the value of extended warranties on the different components of the living quarter horse trailers.   This is an important topic and hopefully this thread will help people find the answers and it will also help the company to further advertise their program.

Should have the pricing matrix finished by friday. We have warranties available for new AND used trailers. They can be financed right along with the trailer purchase

If trailer warranties are anything like RV warranties they are worth it!  One or two major repairs (furnace, water pump, refrigerator, etc) and you have basically paid for the investment.

You're surely not suggesting that these warranty (extension) businesses lose money ?

Possible losses * probability of losses
HAS TO BE LESS THAN TOTAL PREMIUMS or they'd be belley up in no time flat.

Sure, it can be a good deal for the few people that HAVE claims, but for the average person that doesn't it is 100% loss.

Of course the warranty companies make money or your right the would go belly up.  Are the warranties worth it? if you own a RV, a boat or a living quarter trailer you bet they are.  Our warranties on new trailers extends out 7 years.  The factory warranty is one year, and MOST of the appliances are covered for 2-3 years.  Just like home warranties, or even insurance you are weighing out the probability of a claim.  If you finance a new LQ most of the loans are 180 months (15 years) and your warranty runs out after 1 year or 2-3 at the longest.  If you plan on trading every 2-3 years then warranties probably arernt worth it.  If you plan to keep the trailer then they can give you peace of mind.  After our 7 year warranty runs out you have the option to purchase another 4 year plan.
