Has anyone ever put a ramp on a step up before, I have a 2 horse featherlite and the step up seems so high compared to most trailers. Just looking for some suggestions.

Personally, having just replaced the springs on my ramps myself, it's a pain in the butt. Welding the hinges on, and if it's aluminum having to find a shop that welds aluminum, making the ramp, or buying one for $400-600, having locking system to hold it closed and all the other headaches,............yes it's possible. But not fun to undertake if your not gifted at fabricating.

Featherlite has models that have full rear doors with a ramp behind them, so I'm sure you can order one from them to put on your step up.  Their website is www.fthr.com .

How high (how LOW ?) is the coupler when the trailer is hooked up to the truck ? If your truck is sagging, well, y'know, the teeter-totter thang (-:

Yes, as others have said, a ramp over rear doors is quite common. I think it was about $1,000 if ordered at the time of build, I would expect more after the fact.

I had the dealer put a ramp on my Kiefer trailer afterwards and payed $650 including installation. Was well worth the money and easy to operate.

My Exiss has a ramp that can be put on. I have never used it and probably won't. The hinges are under the trailer and it's the type that you used it and take it off (no securing it.) More of a pain in the a$$...
