What are some of your experiences with 12 V fans for trailers? I live in Texas and I want to keep my trailer as cool as possible. Is this an option I should add on my new trailer? Good/bad experiences would be appreciated! How much should I expect to pay to add them?

are you talking about fans for the horses? or ventilation for the living quarters? There are some nice quality solar powered fans for installation in the lq vents.

I installed a Fantastic vent fan in the dressing room of my trailer last summer. It was a smart move; my fan is thermostatically controlled (turns on and off as needed). We towed to the deserts of Utah and Colorado last fall and it worked very well for us. Several times we had to leave the dogs behind in the trailer, but the fan kept them cool while outside temps were in the high eighties, low nineties. The fan I purchased was less than $200, but the main selling point was not having to have a generator to run AC.
