I have a 2000 Sooner trailer and at the time I purchased it I did not think about it not having padding on the dividers, but now I am wanting to install them. I don't understand why Sooner did not install padding on the dividers until now? One of my horses gets black all over her from rubbing on the divider and so now I am thinking about making some padding to install on them. Anyone else have this issue? Any suggestions on the padding and how to install them over the divider that has the sliding end.

I put pads on my divders myself. I used pop rivets and bought the pads from Valley Vet...(they were the least expensive). Dealer ship just wanted too much to install them. Here's some pics of mine... http://community.webshots.com/photo/249894336/301778632SPrPOo
If you want more pics let me know. This shows the non-sliding divider but I have pads on the sliding as well.

I just bought materials to build them myself and am thinking of just using Velcro cause I am going to have to cover most of the sliding divider and don't want to permanently do that. If I did not do that then I would have a very small pad and that would not be worth it.
Do your dividers leave black stuff all over the side of your horses?

Yup, the sliding one does but only on the horse thats in the center stall. And always on the left side of the animal. I figure that's what they are leaning against.

I hauled my horse in my friend's unpadded Featherlite and he had black marks all over him from him rubbing on the panels. The trailer stalls are too small for him, so I have taken to hauling him in my trailer which he fits in. When I got him out of the trailer, the corrugated panels were clearly outlined on the poor guy.
