I pull a 3 horse Exiss w 24 ft floor, 8 ft wide with 10 ft short wall, with a 2001 dodge 2500 with a diesel engine. I have a b&w hitch and had to buy their hitch extender, and had to but a new behind cab tool box, that is now at box height. I still have to watch carefullyl when I back up, but other than that, good to go . I am planning to put air bags on truck this spring, thou not entirely necessary. Also box is 6.5 ft.

A hitch extender is just about mandatory. A trailer with a "V" shaped nose is a great help. Be careful pulling a trailer with a flat nose, as you might have an interference problem during sharp corners with the cab corners.

I pull with a short bed and I have the SB1 extension hitch and I tow a 3h w/8ft LQ. No problems at all..it sets it back 9 inches I think and it makes a world of difference.Worth the money.
I use this SB1 on my trailers and tow with long bed trucks... Gives some extra room between the tailgate, hydraulic jack, spare tire, batteries, etc...
