I have a 2007 Ford F150 FX4; 5.4L w/ trailer pkg and Prodigy brake controller. Purchasing a 3 horse Logan bp and wanted to know what brand/type of weight distribution system you recommend. This trailer weighs 4280#. Will be used with 1-1200# horse or a couple of minis. Occasionally it will have 2 horses in it. Thanks in advance.

Another brand would be Equal-i-zer. We've used ours for 6 years now, pulling a 3 horse bp that weighs about 4,400lbs empty. Whichever brand you use, get use to hooking it up and getting it adjusted properly. They do make a significant difference when on and adjusted properly, especially when tooling down a windy interstate hwy and having a loaded semi speeding by you.

I had the chance to see this one recently, and it eliminates a lot of the hook up anxiety that the typical chains cause. It also gives sway control.

I love the Equalizer system, and as a bonus, the hitch is one of the lighter ones to lift (about 45 lb). Some of the systems have hitches that are much heavier,and I couldn't lift them. The Equalizer system has sway bars included and I find there is less movement with this system and my Expedition than I had with my 3/4 ton truck. It's essential in my view if you are going to haul with an SUV.
