Looking at a new Cimarron straight load trailer. From the videos the quality looks top of the line. Any comparison to Featherlite in terms of quality. A bit miffed that all the padding (chest, butt and Divider) is extra.

We have a Cimarron and would classsify it as a top of the line trailer.  For me the comparison is easy when I look at the door hinges and windows.

Have an '09 and would compare it to all the top of the line. I would put it above Featherlight as the windows on a FL concern me. Have 25k on ours and absolutely no problems.

Have several friends that have them and they have been bounced off cement/pipe fuel posts, small cars merged into them, been hailed on, and all seem to come out fine. The hailed one caused the newer Dodge pickup to have ~10k damage but $0 to the trailer---some don't like the composite roofs, but that severe hail storm made a believer out of me.

I don't think you will regret your choice once you get it paid for!

Cimmaron is one of the "heavy weights" of the trailer industry.  They are very good people that build a very good product.  High quality.  Go with the Cimmaron over Featherlite.
