I just ordered my third new Trails West LQ Trailer, 4 horse, slide out with walkin closet. Its just as exciting as the first time I ordered one. Got a great trade in on my 05 at Cool Horse. The funny thing is my new trailer cost more than my 2500 sq foot house did in 1998. Yes, horses are not a hobby, they are a way of life!

I hear you on the cost of the trailers and the trucks to pull them. But like I tell folks, I'm not working my butt off so I can sit around at night counting money.

I checked out their website.  I never even considered steel over aluminum but I'm sure you have your reasons.  Congratulations!

For me steel over aluminum was the choice for two reasons. First I could buy way more trailer with steel then aluminum, the material cost for aluminum has skyrocketed last few years. Second, wife and I wanted a large slide out, something you just don't see in aluminum because of the loss of structure. This lead us the Trail Rider Trailers. The key with steel is find a company that puts the extra effort in corrosion prevention and inside storage.
