OMG - someone please help! I am wanting to buy a 19" flat screen tv with a built in DVD player for my horse trailer. All the reviews I am seeing is that they don't have very good sound. I have purchased a Toshiba but the sound quality is horrible. Are there any that you recomend?

Thanks!

Most TVs with built in speakers are too small to produce a quality sound experience. But most of the TV units have out put jacks, with a source that can be routed to a separate amplifier and sound system. We did this recently, by using an aftermarket automotive radio and speaker system as a final driver. It works well, and accepts most auxiliary inputs such as I pods.

we have had that same problem and paid about $99 for the "wireless" speakers that you can get at Best Buys or probably anywhere...pretty neat - you can add 2 speakers and a remote and use them anywhere in your trailer - makes "surround sound" - you plug them into outlets or put batteries in them and the remote "pod" plugs into the tv.  Happy Shopping!

Oh thanks! The model I got is 19LV610U and I am not sure if you can add speakers. I thought I read somewhere about that so I was planning on taking it back but I will ask when I do. I am not a gadget guru so simple is better!

Our TV is wired direct to the radio, which is also the CD, DVD player. Stereo sound from all four inside speakers, and also the external speakers.
