I am looking at a 99 Sooner with custom built Weekender package, 4' short wall.  Trailer is 7x7x22 and has a ramp.  Looks to be in excellent condition.  They are asking $15,900 for it.  Are there any issues with this year/brand of trailer I should be aware of.  Does this seem to be a good price or are there better deals out there?  I am a little concerned about the LQ being cramped but it is certainly done up right.  Any and all opinions and advice are appreciated.

I have always been a fan of Featherlites so I don't know much about the Sooner brand.

I saw that on here and was looking at how well the space was used in that trailer. I do not know of any issues with that year of sooner, I have worked with that dealer I bought my trailer there last year. They are easy to work with and have good financing. That interior looks like it would be newer than the trailer. I told my wife we should trade our 05 Featherlite with an empty 6 ft DR in on that. Good luck.

Sooner has a good reputation and the older trailers were well built. Currently, a full weekender, 4' modest package by Sierra costs ~$10,000. You won't find many all aluminum trailers with a weekender LQ for that price. The ramp is an expensive option. You could not buy an all aluminum DR trailer and have the weekender interior installed, for anywhere near your price.

The 4' LQs typically are convenient for two people for a few days at a time. Depending on the installed equipment, toilet, shower, air, fridge etc, the comfort levels can vary. We have a trailer with a much larger LQ, and yet use our 4' LQ a majority of the time.

Your quoted price seems very reasonable and the trailer is a good quality investment.

I really love my '96 4H Sooner all aluminum. I bought it advertised here. It doesn't have the LQ but could easily have a weekend pkg put in if I wanted. It has a ramp and hay rack that the previous owner had installed. If Iowa wasn't so far away I'd snag that trailer for that price. The only thing I don't like about my trailer is the drop windows do not have separate bars on them. The bars are attached to the drop windows. So when I'm on the road the drop windows are up but slid open for ventilation.

My opinion any Sooner before Universal took over,  seamed like everything got cheaper (windows/doors) but the price of the trailer did not!  Also, same as gard stated!

I have a 97 Sooner with a 4 ft. weekender in it. It is still in really good shape. Pulls great. I payed a bit less but mine doesn't have a ramp. Sounds like a good deal!
