I just bought a new LQ horse trailer not even 2 weeks ago. The rear doors leak at the center seam because the coll. tack center beam does not have a lock at the top. Their is a 1/4 in. gap at the top side of the doors where they should hit the center beam. The skydoom over the shower leaks. I have water in my under manger storage due to another leak. I haven't even used this trailer. What would you do. Mind you this is not the dealers fault it is the the manufacture's fault. I have been very nice to the dealer. I tell ya, it has been hard not to blow up. Yes, this is a over $50,000 trailer. I drooled over these trailers for over a year and worked my butt off. It payed off. I got a good size raise and am able to afford it. And now this. What would you do. Heartbroken and PO'ed
A.) Demand a new trailer just like you bought.
B.) Allow them to correct all of the issues.
C.) Tell them to take that trailer and shove it. Buy another brand.

You guessed it. I wasn't going to post it but, oh well. I tried my best to research on this site about Exiss and didn't see anything bad about the Event trailers. Well, I have an Event XT412 with the Sierra Blue sky LQ. If this will help another buyer out, it is what it is.
Exiss, I feel I want a new one that is perfect. Just like i have and throw in some extras, like the limited package and a generator.
I am not the kind of guy to go bashing on the Net. Wreckon I am now.

Gosh I have had 4 Star trailers since 1993. My only trouble was me dropping the gray water tank and the trim strip came off one of the trailers wheel well.
I have a 2001 Elite now. It has no problems either. That should tell you something. Maybe the high end trailers are worth the difference. It takes a lot of time to take a trailer in to be fised and then pick it up.

I did and they are an enjoyment to work with. The issues is it is not their fault. The issues are just to overwhelming to even imagine. I can deal with small stuff no problem. If it had 25 small issues I would of corrected them myself. This is just to major for me. I even called Exiss and was nice, expressed my concern. After a good long rain today I came home to look for any other issues and found the leak into the manger storage and the FLOOD in the bathroom.

You have just spent over $50,000 of you hard earned money. That is more than the first house I bought. You deserve for them to make it right. If I could get my $ back, I would get a different brand but that may not be possible.(I am not an Exiss fan) They should at least offer you another trailer like the one you have. Who knows what else may go wrong with that trailer.

Both Exiss owners I know have problems with leaks. One in the ceiling and the other person had leaks in the shower. They have numerous small problems also. Sorry.

I have two friends with Exiss. They have problems with cabinets that won't stay closed, leaks, and jack problems.
I have had LQ's since 1995.........no problems except the gray water tank hitting (my fault) when I go camping where I shouldn't. That is with 4 Stars mainly and Elite.
I'd try to get my money back. If you can't afford a new trailer made by a top manf, look on here for a used one.

Spooler, maybe I can help you. Can you tell me exactly what, and how many, problems you have with the trailer, and who the dealer is? Thanks, DON SMITH, OWNER, DIXIE HORSE & MULE CO.

Thank you Miss arlene21! Had he been my customer, I would have done this to begin with. There is no excuse for it happening in the first place, but even less excuse for it not being handled immediately. I am working with him now to get it taken care of. Thanks, DON SMITH, OWNER, DIXIE HORSE & MULE CO.

First off I wouldn't care if he sold Purple Pooper Shooter brand trailers, if I lived closer to him I would buy an Exiss trailer due to the fact that I know he would take care of any issues I had with it. He should be giving lessons on how to be a trailer dealer. Matter of fact you shouldn't be allowed to be an Exiss Dealer without first going through an apprentice program with Don. Universal Trailers should demand that from all potential new dealers. And I don't know the man, wouldn't know him if he was sitting in this room with me. And I own a 4 Star. So no selfish plugs going on here.

Good for you Don. I hope some of the other dealers are reading these posts. You have come to the rescue many times. I'm impressed. I don't care for Exiss or Bison trailers myself. When are you going to start selling 4-stars and Elite's?
