I am trying to find an aluminum 4 horse slant load trailer with a 4’ short wall mid tack and a 14’ short wall living quarter shell.  Here in Houston I have only been able to find either older trailers or ones with completely furnished living quarters.  My wife and I want a shell so we can personalize the LQ with our own touch.  I am excellent with cabinetry so framing, paneling and cabinet build is not a concern.  My father-in-law did his conversion about 4 or 5 yrs. ago so I have no worries with the electrical and plumbing either.  So, the quest is I guess am I just not looking in the right places or do the not sell this type of trailer to someone off the street.  Right i am just looking for pricing range to set a savings range.

Try a search in the HTW website. There are hundreds of trailers available in every stage of being fitted out.

Try Wayne Hodges in Weatherford(sp) Tx. he had some shell trailers the last time I was looking for one. I found one a little closer in IL. They are out there, sometimes you can find one that is last years model that hasn't been done yet, they would love to slide a next year model in it's place.

thanks for the info. I have looked on HTW and the search engin only returned 9 and the 2 that were shells only had a 5' dressing. I will continue to keep looking and put a word in at the local dealer to let them know what i am looking for. I am not looking to purchase for about a year so that will give me time to pick and choose and not settle. I was just trying get some prices right now to know how much to save up.
